Biography
Gandhi Alimasi Djuna, known professionally as Gims, is a Congolese-French singer, rapper, and songwriter born on May 6, 1986, in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo. He moved to France at a young age and grew up in Paris. Gims initially gained fame as a member of the hip-hop group Sexion d'Assaut, before launching a successful solo career in 2013 with his debut album Subliminal, which sold over a million copies and featured hits like "J'me tire" and "Bella".
Known for his powerful vocals and blending of rap with pop and African musical influences, Gims has released several successful albums, including Mon cœur avait raison (2015), Ceinture noire (2018), and Les dernières volontés de Mozart (2022). He has collaborated with international artists such as Sia, Pitbull, Lil Wayne, and Sting. Beyond music, Gims has ventured into fashion with his brand Vortex Vx and co-authored the manga Devil's Relics.
Cédric Matéta Nkomi, known by his stage name KeBlack, is a French rapper and singer of Congolese descent, born on January 30, 1992, in Creil, France. He began gaining attention in 2014 with his track "Tout va bien," and rose to prominence in 2016 with the viral hit "J'ai déconné," which was widely shared during the UEFA Euro 2016 tournament.
