Shirin David, born Barbara Shirin Davidavičius on April 11, 1995, in Hamburg, Germany, is a prominent German rapper, singer, and former YouTuber. Of Lithuanian and Iranian descent, she began her artistic journey with classical music training in piano, violin, and oboe, and studied ballet at the Hamburg Ballet School. In 2014, she launched her YouTube channel, quickly amassing a substantial following. Her music career took off with the 2015 hit "Du liebst mich nicht," a collaboration with Ado Kojo. Her debut album, Supersize (2019), topped the German charts, making her the first national female solo hip-hop artist to achieve this feat.
In 2021, she released her second album, Bitches brauchen Rap, further solidifying her position in the music industry. Beyond music, Shirin has ventured into entrepreneurship with her perfume line and the iced tea brand DirTea.
