NEW YORK (Stunt Company/ Thrive Records) - Hailing from the capitol city of Washington, DC, the Grammy Award-winning duo of Ali "Dubfire" Shirazinia and Sharam Tayebi, better known as Deep Dish, have developed into the most in demand US-bred DJ/Producers on the global dance music scene. With their highly anticipated, as-yet-untitled, artist album near completion, the duo have just signed a four album deal for the US that encompasses both their artist albums and DJ mix compilations with Hollywood-based Thrive Records, it was announced today by Ricardo Vinas, President, Thrive Records.

With an impressive resume that includes a Grammy Award (2002 "Best Remixed Recording" for Dido's "Thank You"), two Grammy nominations, acclaimed remixes for the likes of the Rolling Stones, P. Diddy, Justin Timberlake, Michael Jackson, and Madonna, DJ residencies at premier nightclubs worldwide, as well as an impressive discography of original productions, Deep Dish are without a doubt the hottest commodity in dance music today.

Written, recorded and produced by Deep Dish at their Washington, DC based studio, the sound of the forthcoming album, although firmly rooted in club culture, will look to stretch outside the confines of the genre. Sharam states, "It's important for us to always try to meld different styles of music together," while Dubfire adds, "We think that the time is now ripe for rock and dance to co-exist in perfect harmony."
The album's sultry lead single "Flashdance" has become an international phenomenon, peaking this September on the U.K. singles charts at No 3, topping the BBC Radio 1 playlist shortly thereafter, and debuting in the U.S. the No 1 top-selling dance song on Apple's I-Tunes.

Signed to Thrive Records in the U.S., Deep Dish have joined such esteemed electronic music acts as Paul Oakenfold, Roni Size and Sander Kleinenberg on the label's growing roster.
Thrive Records has also released such groundbreaking soundtracks as Memento, Pi, and Requiem for a Dream. Thrive is distributed by Sony/RED distribution, which has enjoyed success in 2004 by taking acts such as Taking Back Sunday and Los Lonely Boys to Gold sales.
