Meghan Linsey To Perform At The Mile High Bash To Cure ALS On September 12, 2015
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Meghan Linsey, the powerful and soulful singer who came in second place on Season 8 of NBC's show, The Voice, will perform at the Mile High Bash to Cure ALS in Denver, CO on Saturday, September 12. The Mile High Bash to Cure ALS is an annual charity event benefiting Augie's Quest, an aggressive, cure-driven effort focused on finding treatments and cures for ALS, and which funds ALS research being done at the ALS Therapy Development Institute. This year's Mile High Bash is hoping to raise $150,000 for ALS research.

Hosted by the Bennett family, the Mile High Bash will feature an auction, cocktails, dinner and entertainment, including a special performance by Meghan Linsey, whose newly released EP "Believer" debuted at #6 on the iTunes Pop Chart. Special guests will also include Lynne Nieto, co-founder of Augie's Quest, and George Zierk from Aurora, CO, who was recently diagnosed with ALS. The event is dedicated to the legacy of Brad Bennett, who passed away from ALS on April 27, 2010. All proceeds from the Bash benefit ALS research towards treatments and a cure.

The Mile High Bash will take place on Saturday, September 12 at the home of Julie and Brett Bennett at 55 Sedgwick Place, Cherry Hills Village, CO. For tickets and sponsorship information, please visit https://www.milehighbash.org.

About Augie's Quest
The purpose of Augie's Quest has always been to fund research and drug development aimed at ending ALS, Lou Gehrig's disease. Since 2007, Augie's Quest has raised more than $44 million in support of finding effective ALS treatments- making it the largest individual fundraising program for ALS!

All funds raised by Augie's Quest benefit the ALS Therapy Development Institute (https://www.ALS.net), the world's first and largest nonprofit biotech focused 100 percent on ALS research. Support comes from a huge network of national events and promotions, including the BASH for Augie's Quest, Tradition of Hope Gala and widely successful campaigns within the very generous fitness industry, such as the Clubs for the Quest, as well as a hugely innovative joint-fundraising initiative called the ClubCorp Charity Classic which benefits Augie's Quest and other local charities chosen by that networks members directly. About Meghan Linsey
Powerful. Soulful. Distinctive. These are just a few of the adjectives used to describe the incredible voice and natural allure of Meghan Linsey. She uses her voice and overall presence, along with the songs she so carefully crafts, to tell the stories she wants, or more accurately, "needs" to tell.

Her years growing up in the musical melting pot in and around New Orleans are what she credits as influences of her unique sound. "I grew up listening to Etta James, Aretha Franklin, and my favorite... Whitney Houston," Meghan says. "I loved the soulfulness of their voices. But I also fell in love with the storytelling of country music and the songs of artists like Dolly Parton, Tanya Tucker and Patty Griffin. Anything with grit and soul really resonated with me growing up, and it still does."

Meghan showcased her soulful, signature sound, and captured America's heart, on NBC's hit music show The Voice, as viewers voted her runner-up on Season 8.

On the season finale of The Voice in May of 2015, Meghan was the first contestant ever to be able to sing and release an original song on the show. Her song "Change My Mind" immediately shot to the top five on iTunes' all-genre chart and sold more than 50,000 downloads in less than a week.

Other chart highlights from Meghan's performances on The Voice include:
Three Top 5 songs on the iTunes all-genre chart
iTunes #1 on the Country, Blues and Christian Charts
iTunes Top 5 on the Pop and Rock charts
Debut #1 on the Billboard Christian Chart
In addition, her performance videos have been viewed more than 5 million times.
