LOS ANGELES (Beautiful Records) - This March sees the release of Butterfly Effect, the follow-up to the critically acclaimed Brother Sun Sister Moon officially released in 2003 by Christopher Holland's Cosmic Harmony. Recorded during the summer months of 2004, Butterfly Effect is a joint collaboration between Chris and Lisa Covington, an original member of B Sharp, the band Chris formed whilst still at school. A hugely infectious and contemporary soulful pop album with 1960s/70s influences but a definite ear to the future, Butterfly Effect comprises 13 self-penned songs and a range of vintage keyboards.

Christopher Holland wrote his first song It's Getting Late when just 12 years old. It was around this time, during the 1970s, that he and his twin brother Richard would listen to his older brother Jools rehearsing with Squeeze in their front room. They would wait for the band to finish and go to the pub before sneaking in and playing all their instruments!

By his early teens, Christopher formed his own band B Sharp, playing mainly organ and singing, and featuring his twin brother Richard on drums and school friend Lisa Covington on guitar and backing vocals. They made their TV debut at just fifteen years old and by 16 Christopher left school to concentrate on the band, touring extensively around the UK and releasing a number of singles on Miles Copeland's IRS label, including While The Going's Good and Tell Me Straight.

When not working on his own music, Christopher has continued to tour and record with various other artists including Green On Red, Squeeze, Stereophonics and Paul Weller as well as playing organ with Jools Holland's Rhythm and Blues Orchestra.

In 1999 Christopher released his first solo album Cosmic Harmony Companion, which featured various guests and session musicians but was only available at live gigs. A follow-up studio album Hoopatasso was released in 2002, a limited number also available at live shows. In 2003 Brother Sun Sister Moon was officially released to much critical acclaim.

Christopher Holland has just completed a tour with Jools Holland and Cosmic Harmony will be undertaking a number of dates in support of Butterfly Effect. Details to be confirmed.
