New York, NY (Top40 Charts / Abaca Group Inc.) Steve Barakatt and Abaca Group Inc. are pleased to announce the conclusion of a record deal with British singer, songwriter, and actor Piera Van de Wiel.
Her first single, "It's Complicated," featuring Steve Barakatt on piano is being released worldwide today. "The first time I heard her voice, I immediately felt that she had something unique. Piera's voice is reminiscent of classic romance, it's warm and vibrant, with a modern twist. Our first writing session led to a very cinematic song that I am very pleased to share with the world," says Steve Barakatt.

Piera Van de Wiel is from the Isle of Wight. She has lived in New York for the last five years, graduating from the Tisch School of the Arts in 2017. Piera is a singer, songwriter, actor, and producer.
Piera's talents have led to performances at Jazz at the Lincoln Center, the Rose Theatre, and the Off‑Broadway Richard Rodgers Amphitheater. She recently founded the music media series Stronger with Music, which empowers women and helps promote mental wellness.
