New York, NY (Top40 Charts) "Mismo Sitio, Distinto Lugar", Vetusta Morla's latest album has been recognized by the Latin Recording Academy with three nominations for 19th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards in the categories of "Best Alternative Music Album", "Best Alternative Song" for "Consejo de Sabios" and "Best Recording Package".

It is the first time that Vetusta Morla participates in the Latin Grammy Awards, which recognize the excellence of Latin music at an international level and are the only Latin music award given colleagues. "The nominees for 2018 were selected among almost 14,000 products registered in 49 categories," according to an official statement from the Latin Recording Academy.

"Mismo Sitio, Distinto Lugar" was released on November 10, 2017 and is Vetusta Morla's fourth studio album. It is composed of 10 original songs that were recorded at the Hansa Studios in Berlin and mixed by Dave Fridmann in Cassadaga (N.Y.). The album is available in physical format in Spain, Mexico, Argentina and Colombia. In its first week of release, Mismo Sitio, Distinto Lugar went straight to No. 1 on the sales charts in Spain, both in physical format (CD and vinyl) and digital. A little more than month after its publication, it achieved a Gold Record after selling more than 20,000 copies to the public.

The nomination for "Best Alternative Song" is for "Consejo de Sabios" written by Guillermo Galván, described by the band as: "the first song we were faced upon when we met at the rehearsal place to prepare Mismo Sitio, Distinto Lugar. You hear the need for change that agitated us. We wanted to experiment; to play with the ambiance and rhythms. Structurally, we broke the song in two, just as it breaks in the story. It's a story that develops parallel to the music in a very visual and heartbreaking way".

The third nomination "Best Recording Package" recognizes the work of art director Rubén Chumillas, of Pequeño Salto Mortal in production and Sony Music Spain who together have made the unique packaging of "Mismo Sitio, Distinto Lugar" in physical format.

Following these nominations, the winner will be announced on November 15, 2018 at the gala in Las Vegas.
