The 2019 Hyundai Mercury Prize
LONDON, UK (Top40 Charts) The 2019 Hyundai Mercury Prize has announced the first live performances confirmed for this year's Awards Show - playing live are Anna Calvi, Cate Le Bon, Dave, IDLES, Cassie Kinoshi's SEED Ensemble and slowthai. More artist performances will be confirmed shortly.
The 2019 Hyundai Mercury Prize Awards Show will be hosted by BBC Music's Lauren Laverne.
Lauren Laverne said "It's a pleasure to be hosting the 2019 Hyundai Mercury Prize. This year's shortlist is such a fantastic representation of British and Irish music in 2019, and I do not envy the judging panel! It's going to be very difficult to predict which of the twelve Albums of the Year receives this year's Prize."

The live show will take place on 19 September 2019 at the Eventim Apollo, Hammersmith and tickets are now available to watch an exciting line-up of artists who have produced the Albums of the Year.
The evening will culminate in the announcement of the overall winner of the 2019 Hyundai Mercury Prize for 'Album of the Year'.
The Prize's broadcast partner, BBC Music, will be providing live television and radio coverage of the event on BBC Four and BBC Radio 6 Music.

The Hyundai Mercury Prize 'Albums of the Year' celebrate and promote the best of UK music, recognising artistic achievement across an eclectic range of contemporary music genres.

Hyundai Motor, the Mercury Prize's title partner, will be celebrating the shortlisted artists and continuing to support innovations in British and Irish music.

The Prize's digital music partner, Amazon Music, will be promoting the Hyundai Mercury Prize from the shortlist announcement through to the Awards Show in September. Amazon Music will also host the official Prize playlist featuring the 12 shortlisted artists and albums.

The majority of the artists shortlisted will perform one track from their shortlisted album. For tickets - please go to https://www.mercuryprize.com
