The Great Western Southern Gospel Fan Festival April 27-29, 2006 at Save Mart Center at Fresno State

FRESNO, CA (Gospel Fan Festival Official Website) - The 10th Annual Great Western Southern Gospel Fan Fest (GWSGFF) will return to the Save Mart Center for a three-day festival from April 27 through April 29, 2006. The largest southern gospel celebration west of the Rockies, the GWSGFF will host today's most popular singers, musicians and comedians including Florida Boys, Legacy 5 and the first family of southern gospel music, The Hoppers.

"We are thrilled to be returning to such an incredible arena with some truly magnificent talent," said renowned singer and producer of the GWSGFF, Claude Hopper. "The event provides a weekend of powerful music and comedy and is conveniently located to all major attractions in California and along the western region of the US."

The festival provides afternoon and nightly entertainment. Evening concerts will feature the best in southern gospel and quartet music from Greater Vision, Pfeifers, Palmeto State and Phil Cross & Poet Voices.

Afternoon showcases feature comedy, vintage quartets and the highly anticipated "Pianos on Parade" which highlight top piano players lined across the stage performing sensational music. Also, back by popular demand is the "Best of the West," an impromptu music session featuring talent such as The Watchman, Knox Brothers and Herb Henry Family.

In celebration of the 10th annual gathering, the Great West Southern Gospel Fan Fest will offer several new events including an Old Fashioned Ice Cream Social, a devotional session on the grounds of the RV Park, a VIP artist reception sponsored by Krispy Kreme and a Songwriter's Showcase where artists reveal their inspiration behind the music.
