(By Velvet Kelm/ The Media Collective/ www.themcollective.com) - *At the 37th Annual GMA Music Awards Wednesday evening in Nashville, TOBYMAC won his seventh and eighth Dove Awards as a solo artist with ROCK RECORDED SONG OF THE YEAR for his song The Slam' from the best-selling and critically - acclaimed WELCOME TO DIVERSE CITY, as well as for his song contribution ('New World') to INSPIRED BY THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA, THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE, winner for SPECIAL EVENT ALBUM OF THE YEAR.

*'The Slam' also got some special attention this week, when part of the chorus was played during the NCAA Championship basketball game between UCLA and The University of Florida.
