NEW YORK, NY. (By Tracy Zamot/ Virgin Records) - Scottish singing-songwriting sensation KT Tunstall's debut "Eye to the Telescope" (Virgin Records) has officially been certified gold by the RIAA in the US. Tunstall, who was recently profiled in USA Today and Entertainment Weekly, is no stranger to successful feats.
She recently won a Brit Award (the UK equivalent to the Grammys) for Best Female Artist and is certified 5X platinum in her native UK.

KT Tunstall and KT Tunstall cakeIn other exciting news, both early risers and late nighters will have a chance to check out show-stopping KT performances next month. Tunstall will appear on the "Late Show with David Letterman" on May 1 and "Live with Regis & Kelly" on May 2.

KT's video for her breakout hit single "Black Horse and the Cherry Tree" has been in heavy rotation for fifteen weeks on VH1, where KT is currently being highlighted as one of the network's "You Oughta Know" rising artists.
