NEW YORK (Jewel official website) - Jewel has made plans for a summer tour -- her first full-fledged road trip since 1999 -- that will kick off June 14 in Tampa, Fla. Accompanying her on the trek will be fellow Atlantic pop act M2M. Confirmed dates run through a mid-July stop in Austin, Texas, with an announcement of additional shows and opening acts expected soon.

Prior to the tour,                         Jewel will perform March 14 on NBC's "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno," and will follow that with three shows March 30-April 1 in Japan, and then a May European tour. That run includes stops at Germany's Rock Am Ring and Rock Im Park festivals, as well as the Netherlands' famed Pinkpop Festival.

Jewel will be out in support of her latest Atlantic set, "This Way." Released last November, the album debuted at No. 9 on The Billboard 200 and currently sits at No. 50. The set, which has sold nearly 1.2 million copies in the U.S. to date, according to SoundScan, was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association for U.S. shipments of 1 million copies.

The album's first single, "Standing Still," peaked at No. 3 on Billboard's Adult Top 40 chart and No. 25 on The Billboard Hot 100. New single "Break Me" -- for which a video is in production -- has been shipped to U.S. radio outlets for airplay consideration.

M2M's sophomore album, "The Big Room," will be released Tuesday (March 5) by Atlantic. It's the follow-up to the duo's 2000 debut, "Shades of Purple," which topped Billboard's Heatseekers chart and peaked at No. 89 on The Billboard 200. That set, which has sold 268,000 copies in the U.S., according to SoundScan, spawned two singles, "Don't Say You Love Me" and "Mirror Mirror," which peaked at No. 21 and No. 62, respectively, on The Billboard Hot 100.
