Brentwood, TN. (Top40 Charts/ Sparrow Records) - PORTABLE SOUNDS, the new set from TobyMac, continues to move the pop/rock/hip-hop artist higher up the charts on a fast track that is seventy percent ahead of his previous Gold-certified album's sales pace.

'Made to Love,' the first single from PORTABLE SOUNDS, holds strong at No 1 for the ninth consecutive week on the R&R Christian CHR chart and also marks TobyMac's first solo hit at Christian adult contemporary radio where it has climbed to No 2. Additionally, the 'Made to Love' retail single is now at No 11 on the all-genre Billboard Top 100 Singles Sales chart.

Keeping up the momentum, ForeFront Records is orchestrating a new TobyMac contest that invites fans to create their own video for one of three songs from PORTABLE SOUNDS: 'I'm For You,' 'Ignition,' or 'Boomin.'' The winning clip will be premiered on the JumboTron screen just before TobyMac's performance at the Creation Festival Northwest on July 28. The winner will get a trip for two to that festival, have the chance to meet Toby, see the video premiere, and receive other fun prizes. Three honorable mention entrants will receive a 30GB iPod and an autographed copy of PORTABLE SOUNDS.

A musical innovator since founding the multi-platinum, GRAMMY Award-winning group dc Talk in the late 1980s, TobyMac launched his solo career in 2001 with the Gold-selling MOMENTUM album. His 2004 disc, WELCOME TO DIVERSE CITY, has also sold more than 500,000 copies. This month, TobyMac is nominated for Artist of the Year in the 38th Annual GMA Dove Awards. He will perform at the ceremony with Kirk Franklin and American Idol finalist Mandisa. The program will be broadcast in syndication throughout May.
