Guster will headline the 14th Annual Earthfest in Boston, scheduled for May 26, 2007 at the Hatch Shell on the Esplanade. KT Tunstall, Mat Kearney, the John Butler Trio, Vega4 and
Grace Potter and the Nocturnals will round out the line-up for the festival. The announcement was made by WBOS afternoon host John Laurenti and members of the band
Guster at a press conference held today at the Hard Rock Cafe in Boston.
Presented by Whole Foods Market and free to the public, EarthFest is a celebration for the Earth showcasing great music, environmentally friendly products, groups, and activities as well as food and family fun. Produced in conjunction with the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation, the event is expected to draw more than 100,000.
Guster, a band started at Tufts University, today sells out New York's Radio City Music Hall, The Boston Opera House and has performed with The Boston Pops. In 2006, the band founded the eco-friendly Campus Consciousness Tour, with buses powered by biodiesel and performances powered by wind power. The band's fifth studio release Ganging Up on the Sun, features the singles Satellite and One Man Wrecking Machine.
KT Tunstall is a classic singer-songwriter from St. Andrews, Scotland. Her debut album Eye To The Telescope, catapulted her to being the U.K.'s biggest selling female artist of 2005. The album, featuring the singles Black Horse and the Cherry Tree and Suddenly I See was released in the US in February 2006.

John Butler Trio, a US-born, Australia-raised singer-songwriter, is performing at Earthfest following the release of their latest album Grand National. The album is the follow-up to Sunrise Over Sea, a five-time platinum album released in 2003. Sunrise Over Sea became that year's fifth highest selling album in Australia.
Singer-songwriter Mat Kearney has traveled the road from Eugene, Oregon to Nashville, TN with the debut of his major-label album Nothing Left to Lose. Released by Aware/Columbia records, Nothing Left to Lose features 12 tracks produced by Robert Marvin and Mat Kearney, including the album's first two singles Nothing Left to Lose and Undeniable.
The main stage line-up will be rounded out with performances from Vermont-based rock band Grace Potter and the Nocturnals and Vega4, a London-based band with the hit single Life is Beautiful.
Kids' Planet - The Perfect Family Destination
In addition to the musical performances on the main stage, Earthfest will also feature Kids' Planet - an expanded interactive family area. The perfect destination for families and kids of all ages, Kids' Planet will feature a stage with a wide variety of musical acts and entertainment, including performances from tween sensation Girl Authority and SteveSongs. There will also be a magic show and story telling from Big Joe, face painting, arts & crafts and much more. Activities in Kids' Planet will begin at 10 a.m.
