NEW YORK (Johnny Cash Fans Website) - Sony's entry among this September's Johnny Cash tribute albums, Kindred Spirit: A Tribute to the Music of Johnny Cash, is set for Sept. 24 on Lucky Dog/Sony Music Nashville.

The album - featuring artists from several genres, including Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, Sheryl Crow, Travis Tritt, and others - will come just two weeks after the release of another tribute album, Dressed in Black: A Tribute to Johnny Cash, on Dualtone Music Group. As previously reported, the Dualtone disc features Hank Williams, III, Rev. Horton Heat, Robbie Fulks, and others .

Sony's Kindred Spirits was produced by country singer Marty Stuart.
