PHILADELPHIA, PA. (Top40 Charts/ McDonald's) - This summer, McDonald's is connecting young adults across the country with a new music program called McDonald's Live, a ten-city tour featuring the latest music releases and emerging recording artists. The tour stops in Philadelphia on Tuesday, August 21 at 6:30 p.m. with a performance by Chester native Kevin Michael, an up-and-coming soul, funk and R&B artist whose long-awaited album Kevin Michael releases on October 2, 2007. The concert is free and open to the public. It will take place at the McDonald's restaurant located at 1601 South Columbus Boulevard in Philadelphia. Free concert t-shirts will be provided to concert attendees, beginning at 5:30 p.m. and while supplies last.

"McDonald's listens to our young adult customers," said Mike Anton, president of the McDonald's Owner/Operator Association of the Greater Philadelphia Region. "We're excited to be able to offer them access to programming that is relevant and to create marketing initiatives that speak to them in a unique and entertaining way."

"I think it's great that McDonald's is bringing music to the people," stated Kevin Michael. "I can't wait to be back performing in my hometown. To all my people in Chester, I'll see you there!"

Fans can view the concerts, check the tour schedule and purchase concert t-shirts at https://www.mcdlive.com. After the tour concludes, visitors to the site can vote for their favorite artist. The musician or group with the most fan votes will be featured in a McDonald's advertising campaign next year.

McDonald's Live performances are promoted on the No 1 online music destination, Yahoo! Music. Additionally, top music network MTV is showcasing content via its programming, live appearances and concert clips. McDonald's Live, Yahoo! Music and MTV are also featured on the back of McDonald's large and medium French fry boxes from August 8 until supplies last.

The tour kicked off July 26 in Venice Beach, Calif., with a headline performance by Ne-Yo, winner of the 2007 BET Best R&B Male Artist of the Year award and Grammy nominated artist. In addition, Kenna, an up-and-coming artist opened the tour with his fresh, futuristic sound. Hot emerging artists are headlining the additional concerts, including teenage music phenom Sean Kingston, R&B songstress Che'Nelle, and alternative rock band Single File. Performances are taking place in ten cities including Los Angeles, Denver, Chicago, Philadelphia, Miami, Atlanta, Madison, Kansas City, Austin and New York.
