DETROIT, MIC. (Top40 Charts/ Detroit People Mover) - With "3 Days in the D" now upon us during the long Labor Day weekend, the Detroit People Mover is once again part of the action!

Pontiac has its "Arts, Beats & Eats", Belle Isle has the Grand Prix, and Downtown Detroit will be alive with the sounds of world class Jazz. Selected "Jazzy People Mover" stations will feature free performances by popular jazz artists at various stops. The Detroit People Mover has partnered with Alexander Zonjic's Hi-Falutin' Music Company to showcase local performers during the four-day jazz festival, Friday, August 31 - Monday, September 3.

"When my friends from the Detroit People Mover approached me I thought 'what a great idea' to showcase jazz and add to the festival mood Labor Day weekend," said jazz flutist Alexander Zonjic. "These performers are designed to complement the incredible line-up that this year's jazz festival people have put together," he added. "If it promotes the city and great music, I'm always happy to help."

Barbara Hansen, General Manager of the Detroit People Mover, added, "We just celebrated our 20th Anniversary, and now we are presenting various special events and surprises that will help commemorate this great milestone. Alexander's knowledge and contacts in the music industry made him a natural resource to help us put this jazz series together."

People Mover riders heading to the Jazz Fest should exit at either Financial District or Cadillac stations for fast and easy access to the Jazz Fest.
