Michael McDermott Joins Mindy Smith West Coast Tour Kicking Off September 20, 2007

San Diego, CA. (Top40 Charts/ One Little Indian Us) - Master tunesmith Michael McDermott has just joined Mindy Smith's west coast tour, starting September 20 in San Diego, CA. It's the latest success in a big summer for the roots-rocker, who is celebrating the release of his first new CD in 3 years, 'Noise From Words,' on One Little Indian Records. The confessional album charts a course through a period in McDermott's life of addiction, broken relationships, and trouble with the law, and his eventual recovery. Performing Songwriter calls it "a clinic, as McDermott wears his emotions on a pair of songwriting sleeves in a way that brings each powerful track to life."

Fans will have several additional chances to catch McDermott this fall- he plays in Philadelphia on September 28 (WXPN Live at Noon followed by a show at World Cafe Live that night), and headlines The Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles on October 19. Furthermore, Michael's 1-hour performance/chat with Meg Griffin will air on SIRIUS Disorder 32 in October, and he tapes Mountain Stage on October 28.
