HOUSTON, TX. (Top40 Charts/ Upstairs Records) - Upstairs Records artist, Amanda Perez, released her new album, "The Hand of Fate," October 30, 2007. This is Amanda's third album and follows past successful releases "Where Ya At," which spawned Billboard Chart hit singles "Never" and "Angel," as well as albums "Angel" and "I Pray."

Singer, songwriter and producer, Amanda Perez, has had a rough road these past couple years. Taking time off between 2004-2005 to care for her mother whom had been diagnosed with cancer, Amanda took on the role of caretaker. She was able to work on her music sporadically, when her mother was feeling better, in her home studio. On September 10, 2007, Amanda's mother passed away.

"It was hard, but I knew that she would always be with me. I knew that God had given me that time with her and that it was all for a reason," Amanda laments. Amanda was able to complete and perform the song she had been secretly writing for her mother before she perished. The chilling, spine tingly, deeply sensitive ballad is called "Good Bye."
"Every word that I wrote, I could barely make it through," Amanda explains. "It is sometimes hard for a child to tell a parent just how much he or she means to them. You just don't know what to say, so I had to say it the best way I knew how and that was through song." This powerful, emotionally indulgent ballad would encompass all the passion that fueled the making of Amanda's latest record "The Hand of Fate."

A compilation of poignant, provocative, and ear pleasing tunes, "The Hand of Fate" is Amanda's finest work yet. Dedicated to her mother, "Good Bye," with its dramatic instrumentals, is just a taste of the diverse work Amanda has to offer. This time around, the album is being released through Houston, Texas-based record label Upstairs Records.
While on tour, Amanda often performed alongside artists signed to Upstairs Records. "I knew them before I had signed so it always made sense. We always had a good rapport while out on the road together," Amanda declares with an unbridled confidence.
Amanda is currently on promotional tour and available for interviews.
