Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ Universal Records South) - With a new CD set for release in early 2008 and a single on the charts ("Joyride"), Jennifer Hanson is gearing up for a high visibility CMA week. The Universal Records South artist is featured in People Magazine's upcoming Country Music Special, as well as the new 2008 Chevy calendar. Hanson will also star in a piece for Mary Kay Cosmetics that will be featured on the upcoming CMA Awards (November 7th on ABC-TV) and in behind the scenes vignettes on ABC.com, where cameras caught up with her backstage at a recent Nashville performance. The artist will also perform some of her music for international guests attending next week's CMA Awards Show at the Global Market Showcase. Additionally she will perform at the CMA sponsored Music on the Horizon Showcase, an event designed to spotlight some of country music's brightest new talent. On November 3rd, Hanson will be CMT Insider's special celebrity correspondent for its report on CMA nominees. The producers assigned Hanson to interview the legendary Bill Anderson and talk with him about his nomination and extremely successful songwriting career. Assigning Hanson this task makes sense as she is also a successful songwriter. In addition to writing all of the material on her upcoming CD, she also penned "Leave the Pieces," a multi-week No 1 hit for the Wreckers, as well as Bucky Covington's Top 5, "A Different World." "Talking with Bill Anderson was an amazing opportunity," Hanson said. "He has a career that we all aspire to-as an artist and as a writer. Just preparing for this interview, I was so humbled when I read about all of his accomplishments. And then when I actually met him, it was so nice to see that he is such a kind and thoughtful, not to mention very funny, man. I appreciate CMT giving me this opportunity-I really had a great time with the assignment."
