LOS ANGELES (Doors Fans Website) - Out Tuesday (October 8) from instrumentalist George Winston is Night Divides The Day - The Music Of The Doors. The 13-song collection features Winston, best known for his best-selling "seasonal" albums (Autumn, December, Winter Into Spring, Summer), playing solo piano renditions of Doors songs, including hits like "People Are Strange," "Love Me Two Times," and "Love Her Madly," as well as lesser-known tracks such as "I Can't See Your Face In My Mind" and "My Wild Love." Doors keyboardist Ray Manzarek, who recently played a one-off gig with Winston in New York City in support of the album, said how it all came about: "George Winston sent me a tape--I listened to it and thought it was terrific," he said. "And he had gotten my telephone number and email from somebody that knew both of us, and we corresponded through email. I listened to it, and I thought it was fabulous, and I said, 'This is incredible, man!'"
