Yael Naim To Display 'New Soul' To America; Self-Titled Breakthrough To Be Released On March 18, 2008

NEW YORK, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Atlantic Records) - Tot Ou Tard/Atlantic has announced the upcoming release of the US debut album from Yael Naim. Highlighted by the breakthrough single, "New Soul," "YAEL NAIM" will arrive in stores on March 18th.

Featured on the current TV promotion for the new MacBook Air, "New Soul" quickly became the No 1 top-selling song on the iTunes Store.
The Paris-based singer along with collaborator David Donatien will celebrate the single's success with a performance on the "ELLEN" show on March 14th and upcoming live appearances, slated for March 12th in Los Angeles @ Hotel Cafe, March 14th as part of the annual South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas and March 19th @ Bowery Ballroom in New York City.

With its atmospheric blend of folk, pop, and Middle Eastern sounds, "YAEL NAIM" has become a critical and popular sensation. The album sees Naim teaming with West Indian multi-instrumentalist David Donatien, a collaboration which led to a minimalist musical architecture built out of organic acoustic instruments and electronic ingenuity.
