London, UK. (Top40 Charts/ SONY BMG MUSIC Entertainment) - We can confirm that Duran Duran will be headlining this year's Lovebox festival in London.

The festival, which takes place in London's Victoria Park on the 18th and 19th July, will see the band headlining on the Saturday Night.

They'll be supported on their only UK 2009 festival date by NERD.

Simon Le Bon says the band are "thrilled".

"We were on the road for the whole of 2008 and are now back in the studio working on new music. Playing at LOVEBOX in the summer will be a real highlight for us," he said.
