LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts/ Tommy Boy Entertainment) - Gearing up for the release of his forthcoming sophomore album Heartbreak on Vinyl, American Idol alum and beatboxer/singing sensation Blake Lewis will release the music video for his new single "Sad Song," exclusively on MySpace.com on September 22nd, it was announced today. Also in support of the new release, due out October 6th via Tommy Boy Entertainment, Lewis will be performing several shows across the country.

The soon-to-be-released music video is shot as a 1940s film-noir style story about the end of a couple's relationship, highlighted with some 40s-meets-80s style fashion and video editing. The female lead is played by Casey Carlson who was also an American Idol contestant in the recent season 8. Fans, who are members of Lewis' official website, can see a sneak peek of the video in advance of its debut. Sign up at www.blakelewisofficial.com for this and more exclusives and advance access to tracks and video.

In the upcoming months, Lewis will be making a number of appearances across the country in support of the new release, performing the tracks from his electronic pop/dance album. On September 26th, in Novato, CA, Lewis will perform at the Rockin' Blues by the Lake festival with the B-52s, among others, assisting to raise money for the Novato School District. Next, Lewis will officially launch his album with a club performance at The Roxy in West Hollywood, CA on Thursday, October 8th and will then be a performer at the Atlanta Pride festival on November 1st, which is free to the public. Tickets are available for the Rockin' Blues at https://www.rnblake.com/tickets.asp and for The Roxy show at https://www.ticketmaster.com. More performances are being planned and will be announced.

A streaming copy of Lewis' single was initially exclusively released through People.com (www.people.com) on July 21st and is now available through iTunes here. Fans were able to get an exclusive peek in the studio with Lewis on Entertainment Weekly's website (www.EW.com), which featured video footage of Lewis and producer Rodney Jerkins composing a song for Lewis' upcoming album and AOL Music (www.aolmusic.com) debuted a video of Lewis in studio with producer Dave Aude. Recently, Lewis hit the road in August and September, promoting "Sad Song" with visits to local television morning shows and radio stations. Starting in New York, Lewis canvassed the east coast and mid-west with special in-studio performances and meet and greets with fans.

Lewis' album is currently available for pre-order at https://shop.tommyboy.com/blakelewis. Fans who pre-order the CD will receive it before it is in stores. In addition, Blake's CD release will include a special offer, utilizing technology from Opendisc, which will allow fans to unlock access to free and exclusive content on a private website.

Lewis' much anticipated second album is an electronic/pop/dance production. He collaborated with a host of songwriters and producers including S*A*M & Sluggo (Fall Out Boy, Panic at the Disco), Dave Aude (Pussycat Dolls), Rodney Jerkins (Lady Gaga, Britney Spears), and Jean Baptiste (Will.I.Am, Black Eyed Peas) on an album that promises to be fresh and full of surprises.

Lewis made a name for himself as the unconventional and charming beat boxer who was selected as first runner up on season six of American Idol in 2007.
His cover of Bon Jovi's "You Give Love a Bad Name," was the biggest selling download of the season on iTunes with over 190,000 downloads. His debut album Audio Day Dream hit the Billboard album charts at No 10 and has since sold over 350,000 units to date. He created a unique persona for himself as not only a singer-songwriter, but DJ and beatboxer, drawing fans of all ages to his shows, which vary between musical performances and DJ sets.
