"After living in an array of places, I can finally call Woodstock my home," noted Kirsten. "Its the place where I fell in love with my life, my surroundings, and how I feel as an overall artist. It works with me, and me with it. It's OK where I am at the moment, but also asks that I evolve with it. I'm thrilled to be able to perform my opening concert during such an exciting weekend in Woodstock."

The show will serve as a a prelude to their sharing the stage for an official CMJ showcase presented by TM Promotions on Thursday, October 22nd at BLVD (https://blvdnyc.com), home to Crash Mansion. Ranging from toe-tapping to somber songs, "Thorns On A Crown" encompasses the sweetness of Liz Phair, a soft, airy quality like that of Sia, and the rich alto of Fiona Apple. Named by Deli Magazine as a 'NYC Artist on the Rise', Alyson Grenfield will be performing songs from her recently released album "Tuscaloosa," which showcases her "...unharnessed creativity and multi-genre performance" (CTN Music).

"I am so excited to play a show in Woodstock!" said Alyson. "When I spend time in Woodstock, which I have been doing more recently, I find myself playing music with groups of people in open fields, art gallery hopping, and having long conversations with the incredibly friendly store owners. I am especially excited to be performing during the time of the film festival because I am passionate about merging art forms."

About Kirsten DeHaan
Kirsten DeHaan is a true jack of all musical trades. Not only is she a talented singer/songwriter and guitarist, she promotes her music via her label SirLady Records, does various philanthropic work for American soldiers in the Middle East, and is a big proponent of the New York indie music scene. DeHaan stomped onto the indie music scene in 2004 when she released her first album "Conform." Reviewers compared her music to that of Nirvana, U2, and Belly. Her music has been downloaded over 1 million times via various peer-to-peer sites and featured on hit reality shows Made and My Super Sweet Sixteen. Declaring "Conform" one of the most popular records next to the Killers and Ashlee Simpson by FreshFarmMusic.com, Kirsten was one of five artists chosen for Men's Vogue/Hennessey Flaunt Your Taste Critics Choice Awards. Her latest offering, a five song EP dubbed "Thorns On A Crown" is by far her most mature work to date.
