New York (Top40 Charts/ Universal Republic Records Publicity) - Cash Money/Universal Republic UK newcomer Jay Sean has done it again - sending his sultry signature single 'Down' (featuring Cash Money Icon Lil Wayne) into another No 1 orbit, jumping from No 3 to No 1 on the prestigious Top 40 Radio Chart (Source: MediaBase & BDS). The platinum-plus 'Down,' which reached the coveted 1 million digital singles sales plateau after only 2 months of release, already garnered the No 1 position on the Rhythmic Crossover chart last week. The irresistible song was also the Greatest Gainer at Rhythmic Radio (for over a month) and the Top 40 format, before finally overtaking the penthouse position at the format. The stunning achievement also marks the first time a Cash Money artist secured the No 1 post at Top 40 Radio Chart. The song has also locked down the top spot on Canada's Pop radio chart.

'Jay Sean's tremendous success proves the Cash Money creed that great music and great artists know no boundaries,' stated Ronald 'Slim' Williams, Co-founder and Co-CEO of Cash Money Records. 'We congratulate Jay and thank the Universal Republic staff for their hard work in locking down the No 1 slot in so many platforms. We've only just begun.'

The infectious single has held a Top 5 Lockdown on the competitive iTunes chart since it hit the digital domain, climbing to No 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart in near-record time. 'Down' is also lighting up the video and online arenas, hitting the No 1 spot on the top urban/Hip Hop Countdown at Fuse in mid-September, and scoring as Top Ten video staple on VH'1's popular Countdown show. The video has also become a youtube phenomenon, snaring millions of views as it becomes one of 2009's most popular clips.

The soaring hit has scored the most impressive array of chart-topping, stateside breakthroughs for a new UK artist this year, and is among the best performing singles of 2009 in any genre. Most recently, the BBC has lauded the star as one of the 'most successful male UK urban artists in chart history.' Jay Sean's U.S. debut album, All Or Nothing, will hit stores and digital/mobile destinations on November 24th.

The first UK artist to be signed by iconic hip hop imprint Cash Money, the savvy hitmaker, by way of London, already has two internationally acclaimed albums under his belt, a mantle-full of awards and several Top Ten hits plastered across the UK and other countries. Other songs on All Or Nothing include 'Ride It,' and 'War,' among others. Featured guests include Cash Money and Universal Republic labelmates Lil Wayne and Kevin Rudolf.

Jay Sean has also been honored recently with an invite from superstar Justin Timberlake to perform at a charity event close to the ex-'N Sync frontman's heart, the Justin Timberlake And Friends Concert Benefiting Shriners Hospitals For Children, to be held in Las Vegas, NV on October 17th. Other stars slated to appear include Taylor Swift, Alicia Keys, and Snoop Dogg, among others. The show will benefit the Shriners Hospitals for Children, an international organization that provides care and special treatment and awareness programs on behalf of children across the globe.
