New York (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - Hennessy has notched its most high-profile Artistry Series to date in 2009, matching superstars and hot new talent in a series of unexpected blends - musical, artistic, cultural, and flavorful. But they may have saved the best for last at the series finale event in New York City last night.
Sensational collaborations ruled the evening. Q-Tip and Common joined for the stone classic "Bonita Applebum" - backed by The Roots, as was Caron Wheeler for her signature lead on "Back to Life" and Queen Latifah on her biggest hit ever: "Unity."
That word that proved a particularly apt description for the night, as the Artistry Series demonstrated beyond a doubt - Hennessy blends better than anyone.

The action off the stage was equally compelling, as Hennessy Artistry's "Halo" event in New York mixed Hennessy cocktails (in Apple, Berry, Citrus and Ginger flavors) for a capacity crowd packed full of notables including top Hennessy execs Mark Cornell, Bernard Peillon, and Andy Glaser, and stars of music and entertainment such as Ashanti, Eve, Lucy Liu, Paula Patton, Tyrese, Robin Thicke, Andre Harrell, Rocsi Diaz, Penn Badgley, Anthony Mackie, and Daniel Sunjata, to name a few.
Anchored by series curators Common and The Roots, Hennessy Artistry's "Halo" showcased a diverse blend of talent. The full evening of musical performances featured Common, The Roots, Elizabeth The Band, Colin Munroe, Don Omar, Bilal, Caron Wheeler, Q-Tip, and Queen Latifah.
Hennessy, the bestselling Cognac in the world and one of the most celebrated and storied brands in history, delivered unexpected blends of music, artistry, culture, and flavor with this year's fourth annual Hennessy Artistry Series. The series kicked off September 12th in Chicago, with stops in Atlanta on September 19th, and Houston on October 3rd.
