New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Karen Sokolof Javitch Official Website) - Karen Sokolof Javitch is hoping that her new CD: STAR TRACKS - THE TRIBUTE ALBUM will encourage people to throw away their cigarettes! "It's worth a try," says Javitch, who decided to dedicate her CD to Patrick Swayze, who recently died of pancreatic cancer.
"He was a 3-pack-a-day smoker, and never quit, even when he got sick." Her mother also died at age 56 (like Patrick) and she is sure cigarette smoking contributed to her death.
"The one thing we have control over in getting cancer is cigarette smoking!" "THROW THOSE CIGGIES AWAY AND I'LL SEND YOU A FREE CD TODAY!" And of course that includes President Obama, who she surmises has not kicked his habit.

STAR TRACKS, her 10th CD, consists of 17 songs she wrote and dedicated to celebrities including Michael Jackson, Ellen DeGeneres, the Obamas, Jennifer Aniston, Whitney Houston, Rihanna, Ryan Seacrest, Brangelina, Elvis, Warren Buffett, and others. All income from sale of the CD will go to pancreatic cancer research. For more information call 402-393-3893.

Karen's father was Phil Sokolof, the anti-cholesterol crusader who was instrumental in getting McDonald's to make healthier French fries. He spent millions of his own money taking out full page ads against Kellogg's, McDonald's and other companies who put palm oil into their products. "He was my hero in showing me that one person could really make a difference," Karen says.
