LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts/ Linda Jones Official Website) - Linda Jones 'The Empress of Soul' soulful greatness lives on with her never before heard live version of her 1972 hit 'Your Precious Love' live in New York produced and mixed by Grammy nominated artist Terry Jones (Linda's daughter) and Helen Bruner. Your Precious Love will be released worldwide December 8, 2009 on the Phil'erzy Productions label in honor of Linda Jones Day, in her hometown of Newark, New Jersey December 14, 2009 which would have been Linda's 65th birthday.

Linda performed 'Your Precious Love' in her concerts long before she would record it. Linda wrote the talking intro and breakdown to her interpretation of the Jerry Butler penned song "For Your Precious Love.' She re-titled it 'Your Precious Love' which pulled the listener in from the very first syllables, 'into each life a little rain must fall.' Terry and Helen listened to a ton of Linda's live performance tapes and selected this performance which demonstrates Linda's incredible passion to please her audience. After many studio hours of mixing, the final product captures the essence of Linda's undeniable soulfulness.

In the movie "Ali", starring Will Smith, a singer portraying Linda Jones in a nightclub sings Linda's version of 'Your Precious Love.'

Although her career was ended prematurely, Linda received a 2009 Grammy nomination posthumously for Baby I Know off her 2008 album release Soul Talkin. Linda remains a vital influence in today's music, sampled by hip hop artists of today including Drake & Lil Wayne. Even hip hop understands the magnitude of The Empress of Soul' Linda Jones.
