Chris Akinyemi Joins I Am PR Agency Roster

New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ I AM PR Agency) - I AM PR Agency is pleased to welcome singer/ songwriter, Chris Akinyemi to its roster. The Pop sensation is currently working on new music. His debut EP 'Autumn', is slated for release in the Fall 2010. 20 year-old New Jersey native, Chris Akinyemi fuses Contemporary Pop Music, Soul, Hip Hop and acoustic guitar; Chris pulls listeners ears with his visual storytelling, captivating melodies and charismatic persona.

A self-taught guitarist and pianist, Chris teamed up with producer Dboy (Souldiggaz, Missy Elliot, Dirty Money) and industry veteran Harry Conyers (Foo Fighters, Vanessa Williams, Mint Condition...) to record five well-thought out but personal songs that bring listeners into his world. His first single "Radio", which is receiving critical acclaim and reached the No 1 spot on Ourstage charts, is available for download on iTunes. The alternative crooner takes us on an adventure from start to finish and depicts how he feels about the state of music today. Although in a gentle vibe, he makes his point elusively with his folk lyricism and doesn't shy away from his pop sensibilities.

Over the past months, Chris Akinyemi performed all around the country in states such as Philadelphia, Ohio, and Massachusetts just to name a few. He joined the line-up of the FEST Africa in Baltimore, shared the stages with artists such Theophilius London; And warmed up the stage of prestigious universities such as Harvard, Columbia, and Cornell. Additional performing dates in NYC will be announced shortly.

Chris Akinyemi first EP Autumn will be independently released under the Tannaz imprint in the Fall of 2010.
