Los Angeles, CA (Top40 Charts/ YWCA Greater Los Angeles) - YWCA Greater Los Angeles (YWCA GLA) is proud to present its 2010 Black & White Benefactrix Ball on Friday, October 22, 2010 at 6:30pm at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Beverly Hills.
As part of its exciting entertainment lineup, the gala will feature a special guest performance by multiplatinum recording artist El DeBarge.

Sponsored by Edison International, Union Bank, JPMorgan Chase, Wells Fargo and Los Angeles Confidential Magazine, the fundraiser draws over 400 guests representing LA's top business leaders, humanitarians, financial supporters, dignitaries and celebrities to raise awareness and funds in support of YWCA GLA community programs.

The gala will honor an illustrious group of individuals who champion the YWCA mission of "eliminating racism, empowering women."
The 2010 Corporate Champion Award recipient is Antonio Manning, Region Executive for JPMorgan Chase & Co. Global Philanthropy; the award is presented to individuals who demonstrate exemplary leadership in corporate responsibility and community relations.
The 2010 Soromundi (Sisters of the World) Award recipient is Daphna Edwards Ziman, Chairperson and Founder of Children Uniting Nations; the award is presented to individuals who demonstrate dynamic humanitarian service work in local, national and international arenas that result in global impact in advancing the cause of women, girls, children, families and equal justice for all.
The 2010 Silver Achievement Award recipient is Congresswoman Diane E. Watson of California's 33rd Congressional District; the award is presented to individuals with a dynamic career of service locally and domestically.

Faye Washington, CEO, YWCA Greater Los Angeles said, "We are proud to salute these extraordinary honorees and their accomplishments in the community and around the world. Their example is one that inspires us all."
