Alyson Greenfield Releases Donation Based EP, Announces Release Party At NYC's Pianos
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ TM Promo NYC Official Website) On Saturday January 8th at 8pm, Brooklyn based multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and performer Alyson Greenfield will celebrate the release of her digital EP "Only Silence" at Lower East side hot spot PIANOS. The EP blends both the acoustic folk for which Greenfield first gained notoriety, as well as an electronic based sound which has become a recent fixture of her live performances. All four tracks were recorded and mixed by Greenfield in her Brooklyn apartment.

The EP is distinctly representitive of Greenfield's diverse experiences and interests, with tracks inspired by sources such as Anaïs Nin's earliest diaries, Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland, Greenfield's time working as part of Madonna's entourage's entourage, and experiences with former cult members. Greenfield's shows have been praised both for her engaging stage presence as well as her unique and captivating musical presentation.
To get an idea of Greenfield's live performance check out a recent video from her Dec. 10th Knitting Factory show, where she performs "Uncharted Places" playing toy piano, mini-casio keyboard, chord organ, floor tom, and snare drum while Shane Maux from Belikos beatboxes (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oCAcXYKVtS0 ). For this special evening at PIANOS, Greenfield will be joined by a number of recognizable New York area musical guests. Come join us to celebrate the release of the EP, and see exactly what we're talking about!
