New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ ESPR, Inc.) After months of anticipation, world tennis superstar
Maria Sharapova will be revealing the six WTA players that make up the Sony Ericsson Xperia Hot Shots - a web-based TV show from Sony Ericsson which follows the lives of six female tennis players on the WTA Tour on their journey to become stars on the court and off it. The show will give a look at the girls' lives off court, an insight into their world and will set them a series of 'Charlies Angels' style challenges and activities from the worlds of music, film, gaming and fashion to take part in. Each girl will be competing to become the most popular on Facebook at the end of the season, with the winner receiving a support package from Sony Ericsson.
Sony Ericsson has selected six of the top up and coming stars of the WTA from around the world to take each other on in challenges as tennis meets entertainment. The rising stars will be working with celebrities from film, music, fashion and entertainment to increase their profile and fan base around the world on Facebook.
The launch party is going to be held at the exclusive Surfcomber Beach Hotel location in Miami Beach on Sunday, March 20, starting at 4pm, ahead of the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami.
The player's identities will be revealed on a giant stage that replicates the Xperia Hot Shots Facebook homepage.
To kick-start the party there will be DJ sets from DJ
Jazzy Jeff and both he, the Hot Shots and
Maria Sharapova will be available for the public to meet.
The players will be armed with their Xperia handsets to give a behind the scenes view of the WTA Tour and their lifestyles both on and off the court; ensuring fans don't miss a moments action.
