Filter Premieres Vandaveer's 'Dig Down Deep,' Heading Out On Expansive US Tour
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Girlie Action Media & Marketing) Today, Washington D.C.'s Vandaveer premiered their latest video for "Dig Down Deep" with Filter Magazine. Check out Filter's piece on the video HERE and watch the video HERE. The video's release comes on the heels of the band's release of their latest album, Dig Down Deep on April 26th via Supply and Demand Music. The album has been lauded as Mark Charles Heidinger and Rose Guerin's finest work to date. Check out Paste Magazine's recent profile of the band HERE. The band is currently on the first leg of their latest U.S. tour.

Following Mark, Rose, and a rag-tag group of musicians in a beautifully staged march to the sea, "Dig Down Deep" finds Vandaveer collaborating with Pierre Dejon and Just Philippot, who shot the band's last video for "The Nature of Our Kind." The crew gathered in Long Island, NY this past January on the coldest weekend of the year, spending two windy, single-digit days in snow and sand to complete the shoot. Not one toe was lost in the making of this clip.

Vandaveer is the song-singing, record-making, globetrotting project penned and put forth by alt-folk tunesmith Mark Charles Heidinger. Vandaveer offers up melodic Americana with a revolving cast of characters, most prominent among them Rose Guerin, singing the loveliest harmonies heard this side of Eden. Heidinger and Guerin met during the heyday of DC's folk collective known as The Federal Reserve. Informal collaborations in that environment soon galvanized, with Guerin's voice becoming a reliable fixture in Vandaveer, both on record and on stage.

Vandaveer's third full length, Dig Down Deep, offers a collage of churning rhythms, steady guitar and ringing piano beneath tales of war and impermanence, loss and love. The music serves as both mirror and platform for Vandaveer's stories-booming bass drum during moments of turmoil and conquest, throaty cello in moments of peace and predation, trembling keys in moments of uncertainty and hope. Out of the mosaic rise two voices in perfect harmony narrating and navigating the lives of Vandaveer's characters with confidence and grace.
