Hello - Men (JD Samson From Le Tigre) On Tour + Release MEN/CSS Tour Only Limited Split 7" Vinyl "We Are Friends"
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Girlie Action Media & Marketing) MEN, the new project from LE TIGREs JD Samson, is about to go on the road with Brazils dance-punk band CSS for an extensive tour of North America. In honor of this, the bands collaborated to make a split 7 vinyl of never heard before tracks of the bands swapping remixes. On one side is the CSS remix of MENsRip Off - (CSS Desperately Seeking Julia Cafritz Rework)and the other side MENs remix ofCSSs City Grrl - (MEN Meets Grrl Remix). Besides trading the remixes, each band made the artwork for their respective vinyl sides. The split 7" vinyl is limited to 1000 copies and for sale on tour only.

"MEN's debut albumTalk About Bodyhas been called everything from post-disco to post-gender... in any case it's a high-energy, club-ready weigh-in on not only queer-politics, but body politics in general." Under The Radar Magazine

MENS sound is "walking the knife edge of volatile politics and for-the-hips rhythms.
 Los Angeles Times

At once a band and art/performance collective,MENfocus on the energy of live performance and the radical potential of dance music. Their music speaks of issues such a wartime economies, sexual compromise, and the demand for liberties through lyrical content and an inventive, high-energy stage show.

Based out of Brooklyn, the group is comprised of LE TIGREs JD Samson, cult icon and leader in the LGBT community, and Ladybug Transistors Michael ONeill. The group began in 2007 with the DJ/production/remix team of LE TIGRE members JD Samson and Johanna Fateman. With LE TIGRE on hiatus, when the duo began to write new songs, it made sense to merge their efforts with JDs other project HIRSUTE (Michael ONeill, JD Samson, Emily Roysdon and Ginger Brooks Takahashi). Michael and JD now comprise the core ofMEN, with Johanna Fateman and artist Emily Roysdon contributing as writers, consultants, and producers. The band enjoys changing the shape of the project and collaborating every tour with new instrumentalists and visual elements. Having sold out physical copies of their debut self-released EPMEN, the band released their debut albumTalk About Bodythrough IAMSOUND Records on February 1st, 2011. The album is available digitallyHERE.

MENs fall tour with CSS promises to be a creative endeavor between two bands that captivates audiences with a unique artistic dynamic bound to get bodies moving on the dance floor.
