Tinchy Stryder, Labrinth & More For SBTV Xmas Event @ Koko On December 21, 2011
LONDON, UK (Top40 Charts/ SBTV) Britain's fastest growing online broadcaster SB.TV are set to launch their first major live event. The SBTV and friends Xmas Party hosted by Roll Deep, will be held at London's Koko on the 21st December 2011. Sponsored by Wrigley's 5 Gum and supported by Sony's Walkman MP3 Players, the night will feature exclusive performances from a number of chart-topping artists including: Labrinth, Tinchy Stryder and Cher Lloyd, alongside upcoming talent Maxsta, True Tiger and Lady Leshurr.

SBTV began around Christmas 2006, when a 16-year-old Jamal Edwards was given a Sony Handycam as a present from his mum and started uploading self-shot videos of grime artists from his west London estate to YouTube. Five years on, and his project has developed into an ?ber-influential and dynamic online TV station with a production team of 15, hits in excess of 80 million and a fast-growing reputation as one of Britain's leading sources for discovering new music talent.

Many of today's chart-toppers, (from Ed Sheeran and Jessie J to Wretch 32 and Chipmunk), were supported by SBTV for many months before not only their first radio playlist, but also their first record deal. Now major international superstars such as Justin Beiber, Kelly Rowland, and Nicki Minaj are jostling for a spot on SBTV alongside the rising talent of tomorrow. Unsurprising then that Jamal Edwards has been dubbed by The Sunday Times as 'Grime's answer to Simon Cowell'.

As we approach 2012 the SBTV channel has established itself as a key player in the broadcasting market. Their musical remit has widened from pure urban to indie and pop, their content has expanded from freestyle rapping to acoustic performances, interviews and events coverage, and their team have become valued as high-profile tastemakers. Widely recognised as one of the most inspirational voices of Britain's youth, everyone from David Cameron to Google and Richard Branson wants to be associated with Team SB.

The SBTV and Friends Xmas Party, hosted by Roll Deep and sponsored by Wrigley's 5 Gum, will not only celebrate a phenomenal year in SBTV's history, but will also exhibit them adding yet another string to their bow. The event is open to the public, and will treat guests to performances from Tinchy Stryder, Cher Lloyd, Labrinth, Roll Deep, Devlin, Akala, True Tiger, Lady Leshurr and many, many more.

The SBTV and Friends Xmas Party hosted by Roll Deep, and sponsored by Wrigley's 5 Gum, will take place on 21st December 2011 at Koko, London. Tickets are on sale now and available from ticketweb: https://www.sbtv.co.uk/party.
Prices range from £20 (age, 14+) to £35 (VIPs only - age, 18+).
