Los Angeles, CA (Top40 Charts) The YouTube animation channel Rug Burn has just launched an exclusive animated music video for Minus the Bear's song "Listing". Rug Burn is an online hub for animation including full-length series, shorts and now, with this premiere, music videos.
Minus the Bear, who just last week announced a new run of tour dates including a co-headlining tour with
Circa Survive as well as their own headlining dates, teamed up with artist
Jesse LeDoux , who designed and directed the video for "Listing", a song from the band's fifth full-length album,
Infinity Overhead. The band had previously worked with LeDoux on their tour posters, so when they saw his latest animated work for Yo Gabba Gabba! it sparked this new collaboration.
The video was produced by Six Point Harness, who together launched Rug Burn in 2012 with the animation studio Titmouse. Six Point Harness is best known for the Annie-nominated series Dick Figures , a 200 million view YouTube mega-hit, as well as Electric City, Tom Hanks ' Streamy-nominated project distributed on Yahoo! Titmouse boasts credits on Adult Swim series like Metalocalypse,
Black Dynamite, Superjail!, and The Venture Bros.
Both studios behind Rug Burn channel have worked on cutting edge music videos before. Titmouse has produced videos for bands like The
Killers and The Fray, while Six Point Harness has worked with M Ward and Shiny Toy Guns.
With Rug Burn opening a new distribution window for music videos, the studios plan to continue producing music orientated projects and videos. Already airing is Apollo Gauntlet, an animated series jam packed with musical numbers. Next up will be a project from Richard Christy , a veteran of The
Howard Stern Show, who is teaming up with Rug Burn for a revenge-fantasy musical entitled Majestic Loincloth. Most Rug Burn shows utilize scores from young composers such as Nick Keller , who works on the Rug Burn show Duke of Fancy and is known for scoring Dick Figures . The channel is dedicated to supporting and promoting creators of quality entertainment and music is a vital ingredient.
