The album is a mellow, low-cruising rap record with miles of groove and unstoppable beats orchestrated in the old-school tradition. J. Doobie lists as main influences the likes of Snoop Lion, Sublime, Scarface, Jay-Z, Tupac Shakur, Dr. Dre, Biggie, The Three-6 Mafia, Devin the Dude, The Beastie Boyz, and The Beatles, showing himself to be quite the music connoisseur as well as a tasteful artist in his own right.
Having broken into the hip-hop underground with this, his most significant release to date, chances are that the world can expect to hear much more from J. Doobie in the future.
