Colorado Rapper J. Doobie Releases New LP 'MMMDI:Marijuana Made Me Do It'
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The rapper from Colorado known as J. Doobie has released his flagship new LP record, titled, "MMMDI:Marijuana Made Me Do It." The record has been published by the Blue Inferno Design and Entertainment, Inc. music label. The album is a mellow, low-cruising rap record with miles of groove and unstoppable beats orchestrated in the old-school tradition. J. Doobie's lines are crafted with intelligence, goodwill, and a mile-high sense of humor, all of which culminate in this endlessly fun and entertaining LP from one of Colorado's most promising new urban poets.

"MMMDI:Marijuana Made Me Do It" has obvious inspirations at heart. Containing over 20 original tracks, it comprises more than a full hour of laid-back listening. Naturally, cannabis crops up as a running theme throughout J. Doobie's record, but the artist makes a point to note that smoking weed is not an absolute must.

"Getting high doesn't always have to be about drugs," he writes sincerely. "It's about having a good time and living in the moment. Say what you want and do what you want. Elevate your life to a higher level while having some fun along the way."

This is indicative of Doobie's introspective and philosophical nature, which is often reflected in his rhymes and lines. When asked about what began him on the road to creating a full-length album, he replies, "A genuine love for all types of music, and a need to express myself in a positive way."

This "positive way" is certainly evident from Track 1 to Track 21, the album's conclusion. At no point on "MMMDI..." does Doobie wax critical, cynical, or the least bit crestfallen. The record is an island of chill. It is a rare work of total contentment and constant hilarity.

Concerning the musical tone of "MMMDI...," J. Doobie lists as main influences the likes of Snoop Lion, Sublime, Scarface, Jay-Z, Tupac Shakur, Dr. Dre, Biggie, The Three-6 Mafia, Devin the Dude, The Beastie Boyz, and The Beatles, showing himself to be quite the music connoisseur as well as a tasteful artist in his own right.

Having broken into the hip-hop underground with this, his most significant release to date, chances are that the world can expect to hear much more from J. Doobie in the future.

"MMMDI:Marijuana Made Me Do It" by J. Doobie is available online everywhere beginning spring of 2013.

The LP "MMMDI:Marijuana Made Me Do It" is distributed globally by MondoTunes (www.MondoTunes.com) and is available at iTunes or www.top40-charts.com for convenient purchase and download.
