NEW YORK (KOCH Records) - KOCH Records proudly announces its new dance compilation series, "Top Shelf," with the release of "Top Shelf: Dance Volume 1" on October 19, 2004. This series will prove to be the focus of KOCH's already popular dance division.

The series will include compilations of different dance genres, and will also showcase established and upcoming DJs. Besides "Top Shelf: Dance," other titles in the series will include "Top Shelf: Chilled," "Top Shelf: Deep House" and "Top Shelf: Trance," all with volumes scheduled for release in 2005.

KOCH Records Product Manager Geoffrey Colon says, "Most dance compilations in the market are thrown together haphazardly with bad graphics and packaging and go after the same audience. I feel there is a market out there that exists in which people would like to purchase a higher caliber of dance compilation with better packaging and with music that is reflective of what's going on in nightclubs and not necessarily just what's on the radio."

KOCH Records President Bob Frank adds, "We are looking at our nascent dance division as an asylum for dance artists where we can incubate them without major label pressures which can be the bane of any artist as they try and move their career upstream."
