The New Brazilian Music - Andre Carvalho
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Andre Carvalho Official Website) Andre Carvalho is a composer who represents the young music made in Rio de Janeiro. Son of bassist Dadi, Andre received the influence of the work that his father took part, as: Novos Baianos, Jorge Ben, A cor do som, Caetano Veloso, Marisa Monte. Their sound reminds us clearly to all those influences and brings both youthful energy of someone who is starting to look for a space in the popular Brazilian music scene.

At 29, Andre has been writing songs that just listening to know what we mean. In times where everything goes too fast, he is in no hurry. His song " Tudo Diferente" was recorded in 2009 by Maria Gadu. The music is a highlight on the main radio stations in Brazil and praised unanimously by renowned Brazilian music critics.

Tempo do Tanto is a a debut CD, a reliquary with 11 tracks copyright, recorded over two years in the studio where his older brother Daniel Carvalho works as sound engineer. With vast experience having worked in the studio with Caetano Veloso + 2, Los Hermanos and Adriana Calcanhoto. The album was made over times the studio and the producer took the passage of important Brazilian musicians there to show the tracks and ask them to put a guitar here, another to record a drum there. Thus it was that names like David Moraes, Pedro Sa, Joao Parahyba (Trio Mocoto), Stefan de San Juan (Orquestra Imperial), who enriched the sound made by Andre. The album released in January and has already attracted the attention of important names of Brazilian music that had access to the disk.
